Azzarello is notable for having killed the Joker once before, a premise which fueled his previous Black Label series Batman: Damned, with artist Lee Bermejo. Assuming the series takes place in its own version of the DC Universe, it's entirely possible Joker will actually meet his end here. Among the many revelations in that series, readers learned a traumatized Jason offered to become Joker's new sidekick in exchange for his life, and that Batman has known Joker's true identity since the beginning. Red Hood was also a major character in 2020's Three Jokers, which dealt with Batman's discovery that there are three different versions of his nemesis active in Gotham City. The series is published under the DC Black Label imprint, which focuses on mature readers stories with few or no ties to the regular DC Universe. ![]() It's unclear whether Get Joker! is meant to take place in current DC continuity. Years after nearly meeting his end at Joker's hands, Jason Todd is being given the chance to settle the score.
